Job Vacancies & Staff Links
In order to provide well-run leagues to so many people, we keep an active roster of Staff. We're always interested to hear from potential Refs, Coordinators, and Managers who want to join our team. As a member of our Staff, you are the face of our company to many players. For that reason, we look for passionate, dedicated individuals with a mind for sports and a flair for fun.
All staff positions listed here are part-time and temporary. The hours are pretty much exclusively weeknights and weekends. When you join the team, you typically commit to a season (once a week, for 7 to 8 weeks). Candidates who prove themselves at the games will be asked to return for another season.
Referees are the backbone of our leagues, an extension of our operations department, and the way we bring to life the experience that we exist to offer. Qualified applicants must have a love of sports, exercise a high level of focused attention, and be confident with both the rules of PLAYNOLA Social Sports Club leagues and with their own ability to accurately interpret them in the moment. Refs are responsible for setup & breakdown, managing game equipment, calling games with integrity and consistency, helping to ensure games stay on schedule, submitting full Game Reports after each shift, and maintaining the high-quality, positive-energy events for which we have come to be known. Game Coordinators are the onsite point of contact for all players, an extension of our membership support and an integral player in game organization and Club communication. Qualified applicants must be personable, love meeting people, and be great with names. Coordinators are responsible for greeting players and informing them about the games, listening to player feedback and suggestions, answering questions, maintaining division binders, helping to ensure games stay on schedule by prepping teams who are 'on deck' for the next round of games, entering scores into our online system, submitting Game Reports after each shift that not only paint an image of the night, but help to give an idea of what that division is like as a whole, and maintaining the high-quality, positive-energy events for which we have come to be known. They are responsible for maintaining the on-site inventory of game equipment, providing insights in ways to adjust Club rules, taking charge on duties related specifically to that league (terming on lights, key management, pick up/drop off or storage of large equipment, etc.), Game Coordinators also assist Refs in setup, breakdown, and equipment management. Qualified applicants must have a love of sports, a highly organized mind, excellent verbal communication skills, and experience training staff with a firm and positive attitude. Owning a car is a plus. League Managers are often assigned to a particular league (sport).
