"Barack Obocce" has earned the title of Bocce ball champions for this season after defeating "Chewbocce" 15-13.
They entered playoffs as the #1 ranked team, which meant the pressure was on for them to make it to the end. While other teams were looking to upset them, they were looking to win it all and claim that championship.
"Barack Obocce" knew their 1st game of playoffs was not going to be easy because they were matched up against reigning champion "everybocce rock your bocce right". They only managed to suffer one loss all season, which was to "everybocce rock your bocce right" by a score of 12-15. Due to the loss, "Barack Obocce" was looking for redemption and they were motivated to defeat "everybocce rock your bocce right" once and for all. That definitely came to fruition, defeating them 15-6 to move on to the championship round.
They were prepared to face off against #6 "Chewbocce", who also has several seasons of experience and have played in previous championship rounds. These two teams previously played week 1 where "Barack Obocce" defeated "Chewbocce" 15-12. However, this final game proved to be very close because both teams stayed neck-to-neck with one other the entire game. It was until "Barack Obocce" managed to score 4 points in a single frame, otherwise called a "casino", preventing "Chewbocce" from scoring any points. That was when they began to pull away and eventually defeated "Chewbocce" 15-13.

“Everybocce rock your bocce” have been crowned our Bocce Ball champions for the Late Summer league after defeating “Nobody Puts Bocce in a Corner” 15-12.
After gaining 2nd place in the previous bocce season, “Everybocce rock your bocce” were motivated more than ever to ‘quit playing games’ and claim the title.
“Everybocce rock your bocce” entered the playoffs as the #2 seed, facing off against the #3 ranked team, “Chewbocce”. They defeated them 15-13 in an extremely close game, putting them into the final round. There they faced off against “Nobody Puts Bocce in a Corner” who they defeated in the previous week 15-12. It was a rematch between two experienced veteran teams that knows what it takes to win.
“Everybocce rock your bocce” kept a comfortable lead the entire game, never allowing “Nobody Puts Bocce in a Corner” to find their groove. After the dirt had settled history had repeated itself, with “Everybocce rock your bocce” defeating “Nobody Puts Bocce in a Corner” by the score of 15-12.
Congratulations to “Everybocce rock your bocce” on earning your championship title because ‘that makes you larger than life’. We will see you next season!
"Joey Loves Bocce" is our newest league champion! It was a grueling playoff bracket but, much like cream, "Joey Loves Bocce" rose to the top!
Things started off tough, with our champs taking down "Team Chewbocce" in a tight 15-13 win. Every point was a battle, but "Joey Loves Bocce" didn't back down!
In round two things were surprisingly easier, knocking off the ironically named #2 seed "Don't Bocc This" by the score of 15-5. "Joey Loves Bocce" was firing on all cylinders!
Even better, the #1 seed "Bocce, Beets, Battlestar Galactica" also lost on their side of the bracket, setting up a final against the #4 "Boccstreet Boys".
In this incredible duel of the dark-horses, "Joey Loves Bocce" once again came out on top. This time it was to the tune of a 15-10 win.
Congratulations to our latest champion, "Joey Loves Bocce", on the incredible playoff run. They've proven that anything can happen in the playoffs by making their way from the bottom as the #6 seed all the way to league champion! Well done!
Could we be looking at the making of a dynasty? Poops McGee is once again the team to beat when it comes to CCA’s Bocce Ball league. The team- comprised of Chad Boyer, Michael Doyle, Andrew MacDonald, and Captain Aaron Frey- picked up where they left off in the Fall of 2018, winning yet another league title. These last two championships came after a couple seasons of disappointment that saw their dominating reign put on hold as other teams won the title in the spring and summer of 2018. Prior to that, Poops was the perennial favorite. It would seem that they’ve found their groove once again, bringing home two league titles in as many seasons. So is this considered a dynasty? League Manager, Justin Maltsberger, was asked after their latest championship: “They’re a great team, great group of guys, but I need to see them win the ‘Triple Crown’ (spring, summer and fall leagues) before I use the word dynasty.” It looks like Poops McGee still has a little ways to climb before they reach the summit, but they appear well on their way. And of course, we’d be remiss not to mention the outstanding tournament run by Poops’ finals opponent- The Rolling Stones. Coming in as a 9-seed, The Rolling Stones took down the #1 seed in the second round and advanced all the way to the championship. This veteran savvy squad will take a short hiatus as some members of the team are expecting a baby boy this July, but we hope to see them back in the future and wish them well. Congratulations to Poops McGee and all the teams that played this season!

"You're such a bocce ball. I love it." entered the playoffs as the 4th seed, prepared to face off against #1 seed "It's Win-GAR-dium Bocce-O-sa". They were coming off a 4-game win streak, had defeated them 15-7 previously in week 1, and were considered the early favorites to win it all.
However, "You're such a bocce ball. I love it." did everything they could to make sure were not going down without a fight against the #1 ranked team because at one point, it was tied at 13-13. Eventually You're such a bocce ball. I love it." gained the victory over "It's Win-GAR-dium Bocce-O-sa" 15-13 and were ready to face off against "Don't Bocc This" for the final game.
Interestingly enough, this final game was also a week 2 rematch between these teams, where "Don't Bocc This" won 15-2. But "You're such a bocce ball. I love it." has experience playing as the underdog and was up for the challenge. In the end, they defeated "Don't Bocc This" 15-9 and were crowned the Bocce Ball champions for two consecutive seasons.
