"Cambria" is our Tuesday bowling champion, sealing an undefeated season with a 14-1 championship win. Their opponent just didn't stand a chance.
Fittingly, "Cambria" ended the season just as they started, with a big win over "The Pin is Mightier". The dominance we saw last night is the same dominance we've grown accustomed throughout the season.
Overall our champs finish with a perfect record. They also never once picked up less than 12 points in a game (aside from a forfeit win for 10 points). That in itself is pretty crazy, considering 15 points is the max point total. Again, sheer dominance.
In all our champs finish with 88 points while only conceding 10.
Congratulations to "Cambria" on an absolutely incredible season! They are truly a champion in every sense of the word!
"NVus" is our Monday bowling champion, taking down "Spare me the details" in an 11-1 route last night. Their opponent didn't stand a chance, and they made sure everyone knew it.
"NVus" was the best of the best this season, but not just in the championship. Overall they finished with 76 points, far outpacing their championship opponent who finished in 2nd with a measly 59 points.
The championship win also secured an undefeated season, with "NVus" ending their campaign with a 7-0 record. That included a huge 15-0 win over "Don't Be That Pin" the week before the championship.
They also had a couple of close calls though, such as an narrow 8-7 victory over the "Pinheads" and a 9-6 win over "Spare me the details". But when things got tough, "NVus" got clutch instead of wilting to the pressure.
Congratulations to "NVus" on the perfect season! It is certainly well-earned!
"What you sparin' at bro" is our Thursday bowling champion, cruising to an 11-4 win last night. They were the top team all season and didn't disappoint when the championship rolled around. Instead they rolled right over the "Bowling Stones".
Overall "What you sparin' at bro" finished with a 6-1 record, totaling 77 points in that span. That good for 11 point a game, which is an incredibly high average.
It makes sense, considering the only time they didn't hit a double-digit point total was in an uncharacteristic 11-4 loss to "Dodgeholics". They righted that ship quickly though, following the loss up with a 12-3 win ahead of the championship game. They also had a couple of 14-1 wins in the mix, showing just how dominant they could be on any given night.

"NVus" is our Monday bowling champ, defeating the reigning 2-time champion "Bunch of Turkeys" in an incredibly close match.
It was a great start to the night for "NVus", picking up a 3-2 win after game 1. Ryan came out guns blazing with a 180 score to lead the way. However, in game 2 "Bunch of Turkeys" picked up a 3-2 of their own, narrowly picking up the point for total pins which was won 509 to 502.
With things tied up at 5-5 both teams put out their best for the 3rd and final game. Bri led all bowlers with a 176, but Gwen and Ryan also won their matchups to help take the 4-1 win and the championship by the score of 9-6.
Overall it was a pretty dominant season by our champs, putting up 95 points. Their championship matchup versus " Bunch of Turkeys" Was by far their most competitive game of the season, as every other game was a blowout. In fact, a 15-0 week 3 win over "Bunch of Turkeys" is what really put them on the maps as the team to beat this season.

"There Will Be Blood" is our Thursday bowling champion, defeating the "Gutter Sluts" by the score of 8-7. It was the slimmest of margins, but a win nonetheless!
It was somewhat of a slow start for "There Will Be Blood", losing to the "Bowling Stones" in their first game of the season by the score of 11-4. However, like champions do, "There Will Be Blood" figured out a way to win. In fact, from that point on it was nothing but wins starting with a 10-5 victory over their eventual championship game opponent. From there they cruised into the playoffs as the #1 team.
Overall our champs finish with 65 points to go along with their 6-1 record. And while their lone loss wasn't great, they avenged it soon after by flipping the score and winning 11-4 just a few weeks later. "There Will Be Blood" also capped off the regular season nicely, defeating "Split Happens" by the score of 13-2 heading into the playoffs.

Fall city 6 was all Business from the time they laced up the rentals till the time they turned em in. All in sync with their two-tone bowling shirts, letting other teams know that they are on a business trip and others don't stand a chance. They walked away with their first championship. Congrats!

It's taken a few seasons... and more than a few penalty shots... but Barbowlza FINALLY claimed their title as LEAGUE CHAMPS!
A season that they refer to as "sensational" but "bizarre", every week, Barbowlza strove to be better than the last. This wasn't just a mindset but a friendly game where the penalty for not getting as many pins each frame as the week it was (2 pins for week 2, 3 pins for week 3, etc) was a shot of motivation. With the playoffs being week 6, Barbowlza was primed for some high scores.
The semi-final came and went - the 4-seed Kickin' Some A$$ets tried as they might, were unable to upset the 1-seed Barbowlza. In the other semi-final, the 3-seeded Bowlin' with the Punches DID upset our 2-seed, Bowling with the Homies - a very tight 9 pin margin!
With 2 seasoned teams in the finals - you know it was a competitive match! With a title on the line, Barbowlza started the first few frames incredibly strong - XX, ///, // ... Bowling with the Punches was feeling the pressure early and knew it was going to be a battle to come back. With one bowler putting up a season high 191, Barbowlza rolled away with the CHAMPS title and into the record books.
Barbowlza would like to give a shout out to the league commissioner, "we've bowled for years and when you entered the scene, things started trending towards this moment". (THANKS GUYS!) ... Also, they want the world to know their team name is inspired by Seattle's very own Barboza and that they love their favorite sponsors, Barboza and Heritage Distilling. "Thank you for fueling us for the win!"
I Can't Believe It' Not Gutter pulled a page from the Golden Knights and had the audacity to win the championship during their first year in the league! A season where they just seemed to be plagued by the one lane have tech issues, seemingly each week... these bowlers kept to the 3 fundamentals: pick up ball, walk the lane, throw ball. Resilience - the hallmark of champions.
The semi-finals were a nail biter! A single pin determined who would be advancing to the finals. Just two lanes over, Hyatt Regency secured their spot in the finals. The finals went down just as expected - two teams bowling their hearts out. The moment made for sports reels came in the final frame - I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter's captain, Chris, BOWLED A 10TH FRAME TURKEY!! The lanes erupted in cheers and it became even more clear who would walk away with the title.
Congrats on the 'ship and we will see you next season!
"Black, Tie Optional" is our Monday bowling champion, taking down the "Slime Balls" in the league championship.
The "Slime Balls" were only able to muster 1 point in a dominant 13-1 win by our champs. It was about as one-sided as it gets for a title game. As we learned through the regular season though when "Black, Tie Optional" was running on full cylinders they were almost impossible to stop!
The season itself was a bit up and down for our champs though. They lost the first match of the season in a close 7-8 loss, then alternated wins and losses for the remainder of the season. However, all of their losses were close, so they were in each and every game. They also picked up a couple of big wins with scores of 10-5 and 13-1, helping boost them into the championship game.

"Livin' on a Spare" is our Thursday bowling champion, defeating "I can't believe it's not gutter" by the score of 11-4. The win also marks back to back championships!
It took a team effort last night to secure the win as both teams hovered around the 550+ pin total mark all night, with our champs even nearly reaching 600 a couple of times.
Normally Chris is a guaranteed 2-3 points a night, but he ran into a buzzsaw on the other lane, dropping all three of his match ups by the slimmest of margins. The rest of the team picked him up though, with John, Jan, and Judy securing 11 of the 12 remaining points in their matchups. Their amazing consistency throughout last night's game is what got them the win.
Overall "Livin' on a Spare" goes undefeated, picking up a total of 91 points along the way. That far outpaces their championship game opponent "I can't believe it's not gutter" who finished second place with 74 points.

"Spare me the details" is our Monday bowling champion, narrowly defeating the "Lucky 7s" in the league final! Both teams were neck and neck the entire time, but "Spare me the details" was able to squeak by. That was thanks in part to Tanya's clutch turkey, which catapulted her team to victory!
This past season "Spare me the details" was one of our top teams and they proved it again last night.
In fact, if it wasn't for a tough 12-3 loss to the "Lucky 7s" early in the season, they would have gone undefeated. Still, they showed their championship colors the week after, rebounding with a 15-0 win! And instead of the perfectly undefeated record, the'll have to settle for a paltry 7-1 record.
Overall our champs finish with 73 points, topping the championship game opponent by 11 points. They were clearly the cream of the crop this season, so I'm sure it felt good to prove it in the end.

"Livin' On a Spare" is our Thursday bowling champion, sweeping the "Bowling Stones" 15-0 in an impressive display on the lanes. In fact, we've never seen a championship game score quite like this one!
Chris led the team as MVP of the night, averaging 182 in his 3 games. He also had a high of 187. It was a team effort though, as their low score of the night was a 114.
Thanks to the lopsided win "Livin' On a Spare" finishes with 92 points, distancing themselves from the rest of the pack. They end a full 28 points ahead of 2nd and 3 place, who both finish with 64 points.
It was a season filled with dominance, as "Livin' On a Spare" shut their opponents out a total of 4 times this season. They also picked up wins of 11-4 and 12-3, with their closest game of the season being a 9-6 nail-biter against "Dirty Hookers".

"Spare me the details" is our latest Monday Bowling champion, taking down "Heroesstrikesback" in an incredibly lopsided 15-0 win. No doubt the scoreline was indicative of just how good our champs really were when they were at their best.
Overall they finish with 74 points, tops in the league by a decent margin. In fact, they didn't lose a game until their week 5 matchup with "Heroesstrikesback". In that match our champs still held it close, losing 10-5. The following week they'd actually tie 7-7. Other than that though, they would regularly defeat opponents by double digits.
With a couple of tough weeks behind them "Spare me the details" came out on fire and couldn't be stopped. They approached every shot as if it were the most important one. It paid off in the form of the largest championship game win we've ever seen.

"Bunch of Turkeys" is our Thursday Bowling champion, successfully defending last season's title in a runaway victory. The 13-2 score showed pure dominance on their part, leaving little left for "No Pin Intended".
It was much of the same from "Bunch of Turkeys", who we've come to know as one of our best bowling teams on either night. When they were on their game, they couldn't be stopped!
Case in point: not one but two 15-0 wins, along with another 14-1 victory. And to top it all off, a 13-2 championship win that they make look easy.
In fact, their only 2 losses this season were at the hands of "No Pin Intended", making their championship win feel that much better. "Bunch of Turkeys" lost by a combined 24-5 in those two games, making their championship seem like it would be quite the daunting task.
But they were able to turn it on for the championship game, getting the last laugh with their second title in as many season. Congratulations to "Bunch of Turkeys" on the incredible season!

Throughout the season, one of "ups and downs, strikes and spares," Gutterfingers bowled by one motto, "We love you no matter what". Just last season, this team was meeting for the very first time. That's right! Gutterfingers origin story is that of an Indy team who kept on rollin' in to next season!
Coming into the final league night, Gutterfingers, the #4 seed, had a one game face off with the #1 seed, All I need is 1 Strike. The margin of victory was the SLIMEST POSSIBLE - ONE PIN! That's right. When the pins were tallied, Butterfingers took the semi-final W with a score of 533 to 532. Guttefingers loves to bowl against teams that high five across the ball return and give positive vibes - and want to give a shout out to All I Need.. for being "the coolest team" in the league.
On to the finals!
With one upset under their belt, Gutterfingers faced off against the #2 seed, Quick Release. Ten frames later.. to their surprise, Gutterfingers took the win!

"Spare me the details" is our latest Monday Bowling champion, defeating "Banana Splits" by the slimmest of margins.
It was a championship game in the truest sense of the word, with both teams exchanging blows and giving it their all. In the end, it was a 5-0 scoreline in game 2 that made all the difference for our champions.
The first game of the match was a close one, with "Spare me the details" losing 3-2. They came back in a big way though, with the 5-0 sweep in game 2, giving them a good lead heading into the third and final game. Credit to Barry for picking up a point as the top bowler in each of those first two games.
In game 3 "Banana Splits" wouldn't be denied so easily, taking the game by the score of 4-1. Unfortunately for them though it just wasn't enough to secure the win. Instead, Megan pulled out a clutch point for her team in her match up, giving "Spare me the details" the victory!
All in all a great season for our champs. They may have struggled a bit down the stretch, but were able to make the championship game due to a fantastic start the season. Then they capped it all off with a title win! Congratulations to "Spare me the details" on the great season!
"Bunch of Turkeys" is our Thursday night league champion! After a disappointing championship game loss last season "Bunch of Turkeys" came back with a vengeance, determined to win it all this time around.
Overall our champions finish with a 6-1 record, but that still doesn't do justice to how dominant they were this season. They finished with 82 points, nearly doubling 2nd place "Team B" who ended with 49 points. "Bunch of Turkeys" also took out "Team B" in the league final by the score of 12-3, capping off their dominant season with a game to match.
Oddly enough their only loss of the season came at the hands of the "Sparemasters", the league's last-place team. Maybe it was an off night, but a bad loss just 1 week before the championship game could have been concerning. But, as championship teams do, they rebounded in the best of ways by knocking the socks off of "Team B" last night.
Congratulations to "Bunch of the Turkeys" on their championship win! With the win, they have now what a title in both our Monday night and Thursday night leagues!
Wowee! It was a close game, but as they bowled throughout the night, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Gutter kept keeping out of those gutters! Full of strikes, spares and cheers all around they were victorious!

"Motion to Strike" is our Winter '19 champion, taking down the "IndomitaBowls" is a tightly contested 9-6 victory.
Ed led the way for our champs, putting up a score of 205 in the first game, then following that up with a 194 and a 158. Brian was also key, picking up a point in every game he played.
The game was close throughout, and after game one it was 3-2 in favor of "Motion to Strike". After game two it was 6-4. Little by little they built their lead and in game three they stood strong, once again picking up 3 points to their opponent's 2, securing the 9-6 win.
For "Motion to Strike" it was quite the upset, as "IndomitaBowls" had dominated the competition all season. In fact, they entered the game with an undefeated 6-0 record. As they say, records were made to be broken.
When our champs were on their game they were unstoppable, though sometimes it was the polar opposite. Still, they recorded two separate 15-0 wins during the regular season, both of which played a big part in "Motion to Strike" making the championship game.

"Big Bowler Brand" is our latest Thursday bowling champion, squeaking by "Bunch of Turkeys" by the score of 8-7. The championship game was certainly fitting of being the last game of the season.
The two championship opponents were in a class of their own all season, destined to meet for the league title from day one.
That was especially true for "Big Bowler Brand", who has been dominant all season. Not once in the regular season did they struggle to a victory. In fact, their closest win all season was a 10-5 win over "Split Happens". Even their first matchup against "Bunch of Turkeys" wasn't close, resulting in a 12-3 win for our champs.
With all of the impressive wins "Big Bowl Brand" was also the league leader in total points, finishing with 82. In a distant second was "Bunch of Turkeys" at 67 points. Overall our champs finished a perfect 7-0 as well!
