Roustabouts put up big numbers throughout their playoff run this season. They averaged just over 50 points a game! And they were firing on all cylinders on Sunday, coming up with a HUGE play after HUGE play to pass Danger Zone in the semi finals.
Roustabouts took over on offense against Danger Zone with a mere 11 seconds left and down five points. Two quick passes from Jason set them up at the 20 yard line for one last play. And boy was that play a work of art from these crafty veterans. Jerimiah ran to the corner then broke back in towards the middle along the back end zone line. The defense parted just enough and at that moment Jason fired a pass right to Jerimiah. There was no doubt that those two would find a way to hook up for the game winner.
Roustabouts kept on rousting their way to the championship after that stellar game. They continued their efficient play against Cuddle Closet to close out the season. Another successful climb to the top of the mountain, congratulations!
Sunday was no different than the previous seven Sunday's this season for A.A. In the midst of torrential downpour, they showed up, they played, they won. It is not often a team runs the table in Underdog Sports, but if there is a team that is capable it would be this team. With an average margin of victory well north of touchdowns per game and only once winning by single digits, this team truly dominated this season.
The playoffs were no different with Tommy spreading the ball around to everyone. From Dee making plays on defense to Brandon burning the defense while on offense, this team was not going to go the way of the 2007 N.E. Patriots. Congratulations! Keep the undefeated streak alive next season!
In the first half where both teams took until the final minutes to score, you might expect much of the same in the second half. Not so for Publicis Seattle. Driving down and scoring on two consecutive possessions. Holding their opponets to a punt, three turnover on downs', and forcing an interception. Their defense was strong and their offense got the job done with a touchdown, tiptoeing down the sidline, and excellent clock management, leaving their opponents with no time left to mount a comeback. Congratulations Publicis Seattle on putting together a good season and a great Championship!

Common tactics suggest that for a better chance as scoring, you should move the ball up the field slowly until your team is in a good position to score. Not for the Rebelz, Long balls early gave them a sizeable advantage over their opponents, and their ability to convert on gender and fourth down plays kept them in possession of the ball and scoring. A few excellent plays on defense didn't hurt either, such as running down an opponent from across the field and getting the occasional interception or two. Congratulations Rebels, on a great seasona and a wonderful playoffs.

When you play as one unit it's hard to loose. Down two scores early Single Dads held it together and continued to play their game, eventually getting things all tied with 20 pts each and 10 min on the clock. With the score tied their defense went to work forcing and interception and two turnover-on-downs, wile their offense continued to move the ball downfield making acrobatic catches in the back of the endzone, and showing good hands by recovering possession after tips. A great win for a great group of guys, congratulations Single Dads!

With each passing week, Taco Corp made it clear that they were not to be stopped in their pursuit of Tuesday Supremacy. Led by Jess Allen and Eric T, from this day forward the phrase will be known as Taco Corp Tuesday's. Eric led the way in the semi's, making one handed catches and avoiding flag pulls with his elusive hips. In the Final, Allen stole the show. Jess caught two touchdowns, and passed for another, as Taco Corp won 54-14.

In Underdog Flag Football, pitching a shutout is pretty difficult to do. Not many teams pride themselves on defense, and if you've given up 20-25 points, that's considered a great defensive performance. Tenacious D came up with one of the best defensive performances in recent memory (think of the Seahawks in the 2014 Superbowl vs the Broncos), coming up with numerous big time INTs and 2 goal line stands, leading to a 20-0 victory in the midcore championship game.
Third Down For What, an exciting, athletic young team, dominated the first matchup between these two teams using a tremendous vertical passing game. Their passing game could never get started on Tuesday night, thanks to some great pass rushing and even better pass coverage. The middle of the field was blanketed by huge defenders, and maybe it was the championship nerves that led to some early mistakes.
On the offensive side, Tenacious D utilized a ball control offense, seemingly to keep the ball out of the opposition's hands. They worked a tight passing offense, and the one time they went deep it worked to perfection. A great overall team effort was responsible for this win, and everyone knew it too. Congrats guys!
In quite the offensive game, Go Balls Deep claimed their third league title thanks to a great goal-line stand as time was winding down. The game went pretty much according to plan in the first half, as both teams scored on every possession, leading to a tie game. Go Balls Deep went up by 6 with 2 minutes to go and needed a defensive stop. Purple Haze drove the ball down to the 3-yard line, and it came down to 4th and goal. Scott P jumped in front of a quick slant, intercepting it to seal the game. All his team needed to do was kneel it out for the victory, and kneel it out they did. Well done, guys!

What a game we had Today! Ho-Lee-Chit faced off against It Ertz When Eifert for the championship game. After playing the needle bowl this was game 6 in 3 days and it took a bit to warm up. Ertz took the lead to start the game and Ho-Lee had a hard time getting Going. The first half was a Defensive battle as both teams struggled to get first downs. finally as the first half came to a close Ho-Lee-Chit was down 1 point. Ho-Lee-Chit came out swinging in the second half. They put up 8 right off the draw and held on tight as Ertz drove down the field. Ertz scored but failed to put up the PAT leaving the game a 1 point game again, this time in Ho-Lee's favor. After a defensive battle for the ages Ho-Lee scored again extending their lead to 7 and hopes of clenching the title within reach. One stop ended the game and one score would change the hopes for Ertz! Ho-Lee-Chit though!!! The defense held tight as the final Hail Mary was thrown. Ho-Lee and Ertz went up........ they both came down..... and the ball hit the ground.....Ho-Lee-Chit WINS!!!! What a game all, great job.

Two all star teams faced off today for the final championship of 2016. Bloodbath faced off against Triple Ecks to claim the 2016 Championship of Juanita! This first half definitely goes to the defense as both teams remained scoreless in the first 15 min of the game! Turnover on downs and goal line stands kept both teams alive and the game up for grabs. In the last minutes of the first half Triple Ecks took the lead.....but it was short lived. Bloodbath drove down the field, scored and converted! Triple Ecks went into half time down 1 point. Both offenses woke up the second half and started to drive. Scores went back and forth between the teams but Ecks took the lead with conversions. Making plays on the two point attempts after made the score slowly extend above Bloodbath and strong defense on the goal line ensured they kept the lead. Triple Ecks assumed victory formation and took a knee and the title. Great game all!

Another season at Juanita, another title for Feed The Hawks, their second undefeated championship season in a row. They have all the tools, from a well-run offense built on timing routes to a stellar defense that has a knack for coming up with huge interceptions, this team really has put it all together. The game really turned when they came through with a goal line stand and raced down to the other end to score right before halftime, then opened the second half with another score. The Freeballers have given their best effort the last two championship games, but Feed The Hawks definitely have their (and everyone else at Juanita)'s number.

It was an amazing run for the Melon Farmers, as they captured their first Needle Bowl Championship in dramatic fashion. In the championship game, everything looked to be going smoothly as they took the lead 28-14 on another beautiful long touchdown pass, but then Boom came back. They got it to 28-20, then got a huge stop, another touchdown, and a clutch two point conversion with just 44 seconds left. The Melon Farmers answered with few quick passes to make it first and goal, but then the offense sputtered until it was 4th and goal and gender from about 15 yards out. Then they turned over their hopes to Maggie Whaley, and she delivered. Maggie diagnosed the defense and found an open receiver for the game winning touchdown with just 3 seconds left. Congratulations to Maggie and to Melon Farmers!

The Wolf Pack claimed their first Needlebowl title on Sunday, and did so in dominant fashion. After losing their first game to last year's Statdog Champs, Gameface, Dom and the crew opened up the playbook and put on an offensive display en route to the title.
Championship Sunday meant playing against teams that were very familiar with their playing style, yet there was nothing anybody could do to corral the high-powered vertical passing game. Receivers kept finding their way open deeper than the defense, leading to numerous easy scores. In the championship game, they ran 6 plays in the first half, 5 of which were touchdowns. The score of the championship game was much closer than how the game actually went, as once they got in their groove, no one could stop them. Congrats to the Wolf Pack, 2016 Needlebowl Statdog Champs!
In what can only be described as a complete team effort, the Fear Boners dominated both the semifinal and championship game of the Sunday Juanita playoffs, leaving the entire league in the dust. It started against an upstart Flag Swag team, coming off a Co-Ed championship of their own. The first half saw just one defensive stop, and it was all the Fear Boners needed as they took advantage of a couple defensive miscues in the second half to roll to a 23 point victory.
That set up a championship game against the Regulators, the lone team to top the Fear Boners during the regular season. Everyone was expecting a close matchup to come down to the wire, however the Fear Boners made it un-interesting early on, scoring at will and holding the Regulators to 4 and outs. The final ended up being 42-6, one of the more dominating performances in Underdog Championship Game history. Well done, guys!
XFL has been playing for years and has always done well with Underdog! They hold their own in every league as is feared by many. They came out strong in the new Redmond League and fought the good fight against rivals and new young guns. Coming in as the number one seed they warmed up against the Big Red. A few broken plays and facing a new style of offense XFL seemed to be in a bit of trouble. With knowledge of the game the willingness to adjust they made the changes they needed and came out swinging in the second half. The defense was impenetrable and the offense looked as though it could rival the Hawks. They advanced to face off Clark Nuber in the championship. With a warm up under their belt and a bit of confidence there was no doubt who the champions would be. By the final minutes XFL had a cushioned lead and took a knee to win the League! They adorned themselves with champs gear and enjoyed the breaking of the championship dry spell. lookout Sunday leagues, XFL has a new breath of energy!

Another season in the can, another title for Winslow's Soldiers. In a season where the AVERAGE score differential in their games was 26 points, no other team stood a chance as they collected another perfect championship season. There was really no way to beat these guys- if you play 2 deep coverage they burn you underneath with smart timing routes, and if you play close to the line of scrimmage to prevent those, they will catch you on the deep routes.
Their defense really stepped up in the championship game, intercepting the opposition 4 times, including one run back for a touchdown. When this team is running on all cylinders, there aren't many Underdog teams that can compete. Congrats guys!
Today Flag Swag + Ladies made a true Cinderella story come true! Ranked at the bottom they took on the number one seed That's Too Deep. Right away they showed they were in it to win it. They took the lead and held on strong through the first half. The second half showed they could hold strong even in hard times. That's Too Deep scored of the buzzer and was unanswered for two more touchdowns. Flag Swag answered back and held a one point lead milking the clock and ultimately holding onto a one point lead to make it to the championship game! Staring down strong Watermelon Farmers Flag Swag didn't even blink. They took the lead early and never let go! Great come back Flag Swag and Ladies!

It was a solid playoff run for Boom, as they cruised through the semi-finals and in the championship game as well. In the semi's JP LaFontanie led the way with three touchdowns, including a pick-6, in a 34-24 victory. In the finals, it was the defensive excellence of Dillon Rose. Dillon had an incredible FOUR interceptions in the Championship Game, leading Boom to a 40-24 victory over Caught Looking.

It was a stirring Championship Run for WITNESS as they captured their first championship. In the semi-finals, the squad barely got by Puget Sound Moose in a 40-36 victory. A late touchdown, followed by an epic Goal Line Stand made all the difference for the winners. In the finals against Indy 22, neither team could get a stop, but fortunately for WITNESS, their efficiency on conversions ended up making the difference in a 56-53 victory. Congrats to WITNESS!

In a storyline that was about as far away as you could get from the Chicago Cubs, Lawn Wranglers captured another championship. After a long off-season, the Championship Drought had reached a seemingly endless amount months. But this Band of Brothers would not let the adversity get to them. Tad O'Niell led the way with some savvy play at quarterback, while Chris Grady kept the pressure on opposing QBs throughout the season, and Ben, Ryan, James, and Joey all made key plays. In the finals, Medicore gave them a run for their money, before eventually falling 44-28. Congrats again to Lawn Wranglers!

West Canaan Coyotes dominated what was supposed to be a very difficult road to the championship. After playing arguably one of the tougher schedules in the league, the Coyotes came into the playoffs with something to prove and they proved it in a big way. West Canaan beat Notorious BHT in dominating fashion in a tough semi-final with a final score of 38-20. In the final, they played a talented but shorthanded Multiple Scorgasisms. The game was decided in the first five minutes. The Coyotes were up by 20 after a deep pass on the first play of the game for a TD, a punt returned for a TD and a pick six. No one could be singled out as an MVP in this total team effort. However, the sportsmanship shown by West Canaan can not go unmentioned. Unfortunately for Multiple Scorgasisms, one of their three ladies was injured and could not continue playing. So instead of playing a person up, and more likely than not, dominating in the second half they played 6 on 6 for the rest of the game to keep the game even. Congratulations and well done West Canaan Coyotes!!!

Another fall season, another dominant playoff performance from Face Down Ass Up. They won every game they played this season, with an average scoring margin of 17 points! In the final they played a very familiar foe, Tenacious D. It turned out to be one of those "What if" championships, as Tenacious D played short-handed all night with only 2 ladies playing. Tenacious D put up a valiant effort, but Face Down just had too much fire power and their QB picked apart the shorthanded D.

When players showed up to Loyal Heights on Thursday Night, the field was so waterlogged that some small spots were becoming puddles of standing water. It was a true test of versatility for Bedrooms and More and for the Thunder. The Championship game was back and forth throughout, as the teams traded touchdowns. But midway through the second half, the Thunder began to take control, led by Adam Guardapee. Adam made a sliding catch on a deep pass that was definitely the highlight of the night, and was also pivotal in a huge scoring drive for the Thunder, as they went up by two touchdowns. After a key defensive stop, the Thunder scored again to put the game out of reach, and the new Champions were crowned. Congrats to the winners!

It's never easy, but Bloodbath sure made it seem so on Tuesday night as they dominated both the semifinal and championship game for the Summer Juanita Tuesday league. In the semifinal up against their arch-rival Triple Ecks, the dominating defense forced numerous turnovers and never let the high-powered offense of Triple Ecks to get going. The 22-8 victory gave them the opportunity to topple BDA Misfits, who had beat Bloodbath in the championship game 2 seasons prior.
From the start, the game was Bloodbath's to lose. Returning a pick-6 on the second play from scrimmage was all they needed to take the lead, as they ran the ball up and down the field en route to a 41-18 victory.
You might see them flash 9 fingers in their championship photo, because it's the 9th title for Bloodbath in their last 15 seasons as a team. Talk about a Dynasty! Well done guys!
The Freeballers had narrowly beaten Hateful 8 in the regular season, it took a last second INT to seal the victory. The championship game between the two wasn't nearly as high-scoring, but the Freeballers relied on their defense to help secure the win.
After going down 14-0 early after a pick 6, things seemed bleek for the defending Juanita Tuesday champions. They kept their heads in the game, knowing they couldn't score all 14 at once. A TD here, a defensive stop there, and before you know it the Freeballers had a 27-14 advantage as the clock wound down to the final seconds. Numerous big defensive plays helped keep Hateful 8 scoreless in the second half. Defense wins championships, and that same holds true for this season.
The "West Coast Stoolies" are our Monday Flag Football champions following a strong 5-1 season, including a crucial win on the final night to help clinch the title. That win came against their rival "Majestic Gazelles" in a 28-16 win and was a big feat considering they lost to that same team earlier in the season.
Throughout the season the "West Coast Stoolies" were at or near the top of the standings. Their one blemished was that aforementioned loss to the "Majestic Gazelles", but other than that were a strong contender to win it all week in and week out.
Also key in the title run were two wins against last season's champion "Monday Night Lights", first in the beginning of the season 26-6 then again in the middle of the season in a tight 18-13 showdown. They also took care of business against "The Replacements" with a couple of easy wins in their two match-ups. All of this added up to a league-high +49 point differential, a great indicator that they were fantastic on both sides of the ball all season.
Congratulations to the "West Coast Stoolies" on a fantastic title run from start to finish!
In a hotly contested championship game between Pain Train and Team Sweet, Kurt Lennox and Roger Cave led Team Sweet to a close win. The 40-26 final score was misleading, as the teams traded scores back and forth until it was 26-26. Then Cave made a huge interception, turning the game in the favor of Team Sweet. Lennox led the team down field for the game clinching touchdown, then the defense stood tall from there, stopping Pain Train on back to back possessions and edging out to the two-score final margin of victory. Congratulations to the winners!

Kirkland Signature ran away with the semi-final and championship game to cap off the season. Led by the strong arm of Jacob Shannon, their deep ball could not be stopped. Right out of the gate they were able to drive quickly and score after holding Morally Ambiguous to a three and out. After they got the lead, it was all in their hands as they kept attacking with the long bombs. There was never a doubt that they could win it all. What a tremendous season!

After a lackluster season that was marred by various struggles and injuries, the Struggle Squad headed into the playoffs as the 8th seed with low expectations. But just when things appeared at their worst, the Squad stepped up with their best. In the first round, they stunned the top seed with a blowout victory, and followed that up with another impressive win in the semi-finals. Then in the finals, against Backside George Reverse, they appeared to meet their match. In a back an forth affair, the Squad made a few key plays to take the lead 21-18 late in the game. And that's when Andy K stepped up and made his presence felt. On the game winning goal line stand, Andy kept the pressure in the opposing QB for four consecutive plays, clinching the championship for his team. Congratulations to the winners!

Tell the opposition to "Back That Pass Up"! In a game where no clear winner seemed to be decided, it was Back That Pass Up who came out on top of David Hasselhoff. It was a shootout from the beginning, as early on the two teams traded blows to the opposition's endzones. The trend continued and the game remained tied at half as it seemed that neither team could clinch the edge on the defensive side of the ball. In the second half, both teams knew they had to show up on defense to win the game. That's exactly what Adam Fangman, the Sack Man, (Meowww) did for his team. He showed up big time with five sacks to finally put pressure on the passing attack. Late game offense then helped them clear the path to victory. Congratulations, Champs!

We have new champions in the Hardcore Gentleman's Division! Past Our Primetime made an epic run through the playoffs in order to capture the championship. The most memorable game was their semi-final slugfest wtih the Tittsburg Feelers, as they gutted out a 64-62 victory in triple-overtime. The entire game was back and forth, as each team made key interceptions and defensive stops sandwiched in between many amazing scoring plays. Each team trailed by 8 in an overtime period before answering with the necessary two scores. And finally, Jarvis Donaldson knocked down the final pass to seal the win.
Many expected Past Our Primetime to be out of gas as they started the Championship Game just a few minutes after their exhausting semi-final, as they were set to face the Lawn Wranglers, who happen to be the all time leader in Underdog Football Championships. But their momentum was just too strong to slow them down, and Kurt Lennox was simply unstoppable at quarterback. Kurt's throws were on the money all day, and by the championship game, it was almost as if he could have hit receivers with his eyes closed.
But the play of the championship game belonged to Chuck Ewing. Early in the second half, Past Our Primetime was ahead 30-20 thanks to excellent execution on two point attempts. The Lawn Wranglers were driving to attempt to pull back within two, but Ewing turned the game with one huge play. Lawn Wranglers QB Tad O'Neill dropped back to pass just like any normal play, but Chuck had his eyes locked in, rushing hard after O'Neill. Tad tried to get a pass off, but Ewing reached up with both arms and snatched the ball out of the air for a huge interception, followed by a long return that led to the touchdown that put the game out of reach.
It was the culmination of a season that spanned two actual seasons. Unicorn Apocalypse were able to outlast all the rest. They had to win two games on Sunday to to be considered champions.
It all came down to a great game against Sean and Friends. The entire game was a back and forth battle that saw more than half a dozen lead changes. Unicorn Apocalypse found a way to answer every time Sean and Friends scored. It was so close that it came down to the last play of the game in which Unicorn Apocalypse were losing by less than a score. Pritch, who had mere seconds to make one final play, was able to find Travis open in the end zone as time expired.
Congratulations Unicorn Apocalypse for winning the championship!
"Monday Night Lights" is our Monday Flag Football League champion following a great championship game win. They toppled the now former two-time champion in an 18-12 win to be crowned our newest champion of the league.
In that championship game "Monday Night Lights" got out to an early lead. Their great defense was able to keep the quick-strike offense of "Majestic Gazelles" at bay, enough so to thwart any hope of a comeback by the reigning two-time league champion. When all was said and done, we had a new champion.
Throughout the season "Monday Night Lights" oddly flew under the radar despite hanging at the top of the standings for the whole season. They even started the season off with a 3-0 record before losing in a blowout to "West Coast Stoolies". Despite that minor bump in the road, they showed why they were the ultimate heavyweight by winning the championship at the end of the season. Congrats to "Monday Night Lights" on the great championship win, and we look forward having them try for back-to-back titles of their own!
Early on in the season, the club lost stalwart QB Ryan Ching to a devastating Achilles injury. While most teams would pack it in and quit, not 'Ertz'.
Rallying behind backup QB Travis Fox, the club forged through the regular season. However, in the playoffs, they took off, playing their best ball of the season.
In a nail-biting championship game, it looked like the would lose their second QB of the year when Travis went down with some leg cramps. He toughed it out though and led his squad to a well-earned title!! Congrats to the champions and we hope to see Ryan back out on the field real soon!!
One of the most experienced teams in Underdog history, Triple Ecks showed they still had game as they pulled off an impressive playoff run adding another championship to their trophy case.
Entering the playoffs as the fourth seed; the club had to do some work even to reach the title bout. After cruising in the first-round matchup, Triple Ecks pulled off the upset knocking off the top-seeded Bloodbath. In the final game of the year, the club would face off with Wolfpack and get a chance to avenge their 19-14 loss on Opening Night.
Jumping out front early and keeping their foot on the gas, Triple Ecks ran away in the championship game in impressive fashion. Revenge was theirs, and more importantly, another title. Hail to the victors!
Throughout the regular season, Freeballers dominated the competion. They went a perfect 6-0 with a margin of victory of 30-plus. The playoffs would be another story.
From their opening round game to the championship, Freeballers had a target on their back. Their impressive regular season made every team bring their A game trying to knock off the top seed. The needed a last-second TD by Lucas Moen just to escape the quarterfinals.
Their championship game went back-and-forth as well with Jonathan 'Pip' Pipkin taking charge of the defense creating unrelenting pressure on the QB. Freeballers would ultimately win the title and secure an undefeated season. Congrats to the champions!!
Laces Out reached the promise land with the hard work and dedication they showed all season! The championship game was one that was close throughout, but when it counted most Laces Out was able to get the job done. With great plays on defense and offensive, the whole team was able to contribute and get the win.

After playing two very tough semi-final games that came right down to the last play of the game two weeks ago, one had to wonder how much left Green had in the tank as they faced a stellar No Punt Intended team intent on making a name for themselves. There was the normal trash talk before a big game, but Green just laughed it off and let their play do the talking. The teams traded scores for the first part of the game, but a couple big defensive plays really turned the tide in Green's favor. Once No Punt Intended went down, they struggled to keep their cool and their play suffered for it. A great season, an even better championship game, and yet again Green is the Midcore Co-Ed champs. See you guys in the fall!

In one of the most competitive championship games of the night, Boom captured their first league title with a close overtime victory over Past Our Primetime. The score was tight throughout the game and Boom needed a goal line stand to end regulation. Led by great run/pass QB play, they made all the plays they needed to get them in the best position possible to come out as champs. That happened in overtime, where they scored on the first play from scrimmage and held the opponent to a 4 and out on the other side. Well done, a great season full of fun!

DO House had been moving the ball consistently throughout the game and they needed to get another stop to preserve the lead they had. Well, chalk another one up for the old guys. With teams getting younger and hungrier, one might have thought that this was the season the King of Kings, the Lawn Wranglers, fell to the toughest opponent of them all, Father Time.
One of those young, upstart teams was RNS, a team that had high hopes of finally dethroning the champs. It was a close semi-final game that the Lawn Wranglers were actually losing at halftime, but some big defensive plays toward the end of the game proved to be the game decider as they squeaked by into the championship game. Awaiting them, coming off a nail-biter overtime game of their own, was the upstart Going Deep. Although the Lawn Wrangers went up by 2 scores early, Going Deep kept with their offense and had an opportunity to take the lead late in the game. A huge INT by game MVP Ben Z at the goal line changed the momentum, and the Lawn Wranglers held on to win by 2 points. Maybe next season, young bucks, because these "old" guys are still the Kings.
What a game... Arguably the two best teams that Underdog has to offer met each other in the playoffs for the championship game. Both teams dominated the regular season and were the two early favorites to make it to the championship.
Both teams have a great defense, but neither defense could stop one another's high powered offense throughout the game. Going down as a classic shootout, both teams fought tooth and nail to the last whistle.
In the second half, Thunder C U Next Thursday were down by 10 but like most accomplished vets, they showed the resilience to fight their way back and go up by 1. In the final drive of the game, Victorious Secret had the ball with no time left but one more shot at the end zone. They went with their bread and butter that torched Thunder C U Next Thursday all game and locked onto their best receiver. The ball looked like a perfect strike to the receiver who was getting clear when out of no where, Jarvas jumping into the picture and elevating above everyone to come down with the game sealing interception.
With a team full of play makers, Thunder C U Next Year won the championship again. But for the first time in a long time, they have a team that is nipping at their heels ready to dethrone them. This will definitely call for some exciting seasons to come for Underdog and Thunder C U Next Year will be ready to defend their title.
Great Job Everyone!
In the game of the season, the Moose Knuckles overcame the #1 seeded Boolin 46-40 on a TD in overtime. The game had all the story-lines, the upstart newer team looking for their first title, the savvy veteran team looking to add another championship to their repertoire and wanting to give payback for an earlier season loss.
It wasn't always a given that these two would meet, as Boolin had to win a tough game against Team Brother in the semifinal, while the Moose Knuckles blew out the Gold Tops. Once the game was set, it was a thriller from the get-go. Moose Knuckles scored on the first possession of the game, which was matched shortly by Boolin. MK grabbed an early INT and went up by 4 points heading into the second half. The teams played down to the wire, MK had the opportunity to put the game away late in the second half, but turned the ball over on downs to give Boolin a shot to tie it up. On the last play of regulation, Boolin's QB tossed up a field-long hail mary, which some how his teammate came away with. Needing the 1 point conversion to win the game, MK came through with a defensive stop to send the game to overtime.
In overtime, Moose Knuckle's defense came through, forcing a 4 and out with a 1-yard line goal line stand. On the first play of their possession, Rob W threw across the middle to Brian F, who caught the ball at the numbers and raced in for the game-clinching TD. A great game by two great teams, and the potential start of quite a rivalry. Congrats!
After a tough regular season with a ton of close losses to very good teams, Justice League battled some good teams to come out on top winning both their semifinal game and the championship game by a combines 12 points! In the final, they came up against the cagey veterans of Crosswired, who had already upset the number one seed the previous week. Crosswired and Justice League traded scores all game, but Justice League got one big defensive stop towards the end of the game giving them the breathing room they needed to run out the clock at the end of the game. Tom M was the MVP for the final, catching three touchdown passes plus a bunch of other clutch catches.

In a championship game between two very familiar opponents, Malicious was just too much on this day for Team Sweet to handle. By the end of the first half Malicious had a very comfortable lead and Team Sweet just couldn't seem to come up with any answers on offense and defense. Malicious continued to dominate in the second half securing a 50 to 26 victory. The defense was the key to their victory, and the biggest cog in their defense was Dan-Vy L who put Sweet's QB under constant pressure. At the end of the day she finished with 3 sacks and countless hurries, leading to errant throws and two INTs. Congratulations Malicious!!!!

What a game! In a game between two very evenly matched teams, you could just feel that overtime was inevitable. After a defensive first half, both teams scored late in the game. With Legion of Boom Noodle's game tying TD coming with under a minute left in the game!! Man of Steele had time to try and win it in regulation but threw an INT to give Legion of Boom Noodle a chance to win with 4 seconds left. The pass was short and we went into OT. Overtime did not last long, on the Legion's first play of overtime the sea's parted for their QB running all the way from just inside the second cone for a very impressive TD. Man of Steele then got a chance to answer, but came up four yards short, sealing the victory for Legion of Boom Noodle!!!

Games are already challenging, but Ramrod had much more to overcome today! Playing down a man they faced some of the toughest competitors in Underdog FFB. Even with odds stacked against them Ramrod made sure to make every play count. A strong cover two helped keep teams with an extra player at bay but an even more accurate throwing game gave them the extra points they needed to hold on to victory. Dom's throws, and his teams great placement converted enough extra points to grasp the lead they needed. They only needed to properly milk the clock and victory was theirs! Great game car RAMROD!!!

What was supposed to be a very tightly contested close match-up between the top two teams in the division, turned into a dominating display by Show Me Your TDs. Show Me Your TDs scored on the first possession of the game and never looked back. Going into the half they had a commanding 20 point lead thanks to some great defense and an explosive offense. No Punt Intended made a valiant effort in the second half to come back scoring on every drive, but could not come up with enough defensive stops to come back from the big halftime deficit. Player of the game went to Shawn for his great rushing. He tipped multiple passes and kept No Punt Intended's talented QB off his game the entire first half leading to the three stops that created the big lead. Congratulations Show Me Your TDS!

Another Tuesday Memorial season in the books and another championship for Face Down Ass Up. After going perfect in the regular season, Face Down had two tough opponents to face in the final and semi-final, Bed Rooms and More and Tenacious D. In their semi-final match, Bed Rooms and More fought hard, but Face Down was just a little too much to handle, winning by 10 points. The final was against a very familiar opponent, Tenacious D. Both teams were scoring at will in the first half. However, Tenacious D could not seem to find a way to make any conversions while Face Down made all of theirs, giving them a comfortable half time lead. In the second half, Face Down pulled away thanks to two interceptions, winning by 20. Congratulations Face Down!

Clownsnose.fart had one incredible season this year as they went undefeated into a championship. Looking like the 2007 Patriots, Clownsnose.fart was firing on all cylinders. Led by their QB with a golden arm, this team torched their opponents all season long, averaging more than 40 points a game.
This championship game was a great one as Clownsnose.fart matched up against the red hot, King of Beers. King of Beers has a roster filled with athletes who were looking to pull the upset and even took an early lead. But the resilience of Clownsnose.fart showed up as they fought back and made the game a shootout. In the end, Clownsnose.fart pulled away like they have every game and showed the league why you they haven't lost a game yet.
Now that teams know what they are up against, Clownsnose.fart will be back with a bullseye on their back. But something tells me that they will be ready for anything to come.
The "Majestic Gazelles" are our Monday Night Flag Football champions following a strong night in the playoffs. They entered the night as the third seed, but were seen as underachievers during the regular season. They got hot just in time for the playoffs though, and it paid off.
The first round of the playoffs started with the top team "West Coast Stoolies" taking a 24-6 win. The win showcased their suffocating defense which was able to keep yet another opponent's offense in check. Their defense was so good this season, they even picked up a couple of shutouts. No doubt they were looking to keep things rolling for the final.
The "Majestic Gazelles" played their first game of the night against #2 "Killer Beez", last season's champion. Earlier in the season the match-up between the two was hotly contested and went down to the wire. But, unlike their previous encounter, "Killer Beez" couldn't slow down the offense for "Majestic Gazelles" leading to a 33-26 win for the eventual champs.
Some say good offense beats good defense, and in this game that proved to be true. "Majestic Gazelles" came out firing on all cylinders and no matter what "West Coast Stoolies" did, they couldn't slow down the champions. They did pick up 27 points, but unfortunately for them that wasn't nearly enough to make up for the 47+ points their defense gave up.
Congrats to the "Majestic Gazelles" on a fantastic run to the championship, and we wish them good luck in the upcoming season on their title defense!
Knowing they were going in underdogs the Farmers had a go gettem attitude! That fire soon started to fizzle as the second play of the game ended up in the first turnover for the Farmers. Quickly they were on their heals, but the didnt let that take away the flame. They rallied a goal line stand and drove the ball down to make the first touchdown. The game went back and forth but at the end of the half the Farmers were sitting pretty, up by 6. The second half a new team joined. The farmers made half time adjustments to put a nix on That's Too Deep's Offence and gained a few turnovers for them selves. With time ticking down and a tied ball game the Farmers drove down and sealed the victory with the final score of the game! Great job Farmers keeping the Farm!

In what seemed to be the hundredth match up between the Winslows Soldiers and the Freeballers, a lot of pride was at stake! Both teams could easily change play books and run each others game to perfection. The Soldiers knew to overcome the top seeded Freeballers something would have to change. They slowed down the game and changed routs to make a good old West Coast feel with an added accurate deep bomb on occasion. Pushing to have the lead in the first they caused the Freeballers to use all their time outs unsuccessfully! The game went back and forth and the lead was slowly gaining favor for the Freeballers due to successful conversions. With time looking to be on the Freeballers side the Soldiers showed why they deserved this victory. A quick INT changed the score to the Soldiers favor and from there is was all clock play. With no time outs left and the Soldiers in the lead victory was nothing more than a final countdown. Great job Winslows Soldiers!

"WRFL" is our Sunday Men's Flag Football league champion after a thoroughly dominant season finishing with a +95 point differential.
Heading into the playoffs "WRFL" was the top-seeded team thanks to a great showing throughout the football season. They did not fail to show their prowess once again.
"WRFL's" first road block to victory against "Team A" seemed to be small at first, but "Team A" challenged them in second half with a surge of energy scoring back-to-back touchdowns. It wasn't enough to catch up, however, as "WRFL" took that game 33-14.
"Drinking Fortes" had their team dynamic in check and took the battle to "Your Fantasy" picking up a bit of an upset in a 32-12 win to secure their spot in the championship.
A quick five minute break in between games helped refuel "WRFL" and "Drinking Fortes" as they went head to head for the championship. We saw an incredible show of athleticism on both sides of the field, but "Drinking Fortes" couldn't keep the receivers of "WRFL" from marching down the field. When all was said and done "WRFL" earned their championship title with a final score of 32-12.
Congrats to "WRFL" on their dominant championship run!
"The Killer Beez" are our Monday Flag Football league champions after an incredible performance on the final night of games.
"The Killer Beez" entered the night with their championship hopes still very much in the air in a tie with "Reformulated Blazin" for second place. However, "The Killer Beez" did hold the tiebreaker thanks to a 1-0-1 record during the regular season. "The Killer Beez" had to use that tiebreaker too, because both they and "Reformulated Blazin" won their final regular season games. More impressively "The Killer Beez" defeated the team who already had a spot in the championship by the score of 38-26. This gave each team a final record of 3-2-1.
This set us up for a championship game, and rematch, between "Shot Callers" and "The Killer Beez" in what proved to be a hotly contested matchup between two similarly skilled squads. No doubt "Shot Callers" wanted revenge after losing the first game of the night as well.
The championship game was full of incredible offensive and defensive feats as both teams put everything they had on the table. Eventually, with the score at 28-28, the game headed to overtime.
In overtime neither team could score, but white was able to get farther down the field in yardage to secure the victory and the upset. Nicely done by "The Killer Beez" for a great couple of games on the night, capping off a fantastic championship run. Congratulations to them on an incredible run to the top and we look forward to seeing if they can defend their title in our upcoming season!
There's a new Sherriff in town as Kirkland Signature has arrived in the scene, proving themselves worthy of being champions. In the title game, MacKenzie C led the way for the victors. The Signature Squad did it with defense and MacKenzie made the biggest play. With the game hanging in the balance, Foul for Fun was driving for what could have been the game winning score. But MacKenzie would have nothing of it, as she stepped in front of a pass and made the game winning interception in her own end zone, securing the win for Kirkland Signature. Congratulations to the winners!

It was a virtuoso performance for Malicious on Sunday as they played their best game of the season in their most important one. In the first half, Flags to Riches hung tough, but towards the end of the half, Nikki T made a great play to put Malicious out in front by two scores. Nikki caught a pass up the middle and ran the length of the field, avoiding four separate defenders, and took it the distance, leaving Malicious up at the half. On the first play of the second half, Reth Bon threw a length of the field touchdown pass to put the squad comfortably in front, and they didn't look back. Congratulations to Malicious on another championship!

While the regular season was a bit of a grind, and had it's ups and downs, the Playoffs were all glory for Ron Swanson's Swansons. The Swansons survived three separate nail biters to pull of an unlikely championship run. First, they upset Lynch Mobb 36-32, then they squeaked by Pipe Dreams 30-28, and then in the final, they upended Mediocre 32-27. In the final game, it was Eric Swedstedt that made the difference by hauling a huge touchdown catch late in the game to seal the win. Congratulations to Ron Swanson's Swansons!

It was an epic championship game as Lawn Wranglers edged Malicious 44-42. It was a shootout from the beginning as Malicious quickly jumped out to an 8-0 lead, before Lawn Wranglers, with highlight reel touchdowns from Chris Grady and Morgan Hasegawa, went on a 28-14 run to finish the first half with the lead. But Malicious kept up with the pace from there, and managed to tie the score at 36 following a huge interception. But after the Lawn Wranglers answered with 8 points on their next drive, Malicious came up short on their two point attempt, leaving them down 44-42. It appeared Lawn Wranglers was going to salt the game away, but Malicious did manage one more defensive stand with 15 seconds left, but it was too little too late as the a Hail Mary pass to from Reth Bon to Justin Gaston could not be completed. And while the Championship Game had it's share of thrills, in the end, the total sum meant once again that the Lawn Wranglers are Champions. Congrats to the winners!

Team Q showed extremely vigilance and focuse in these play offs. Leaving no doubt as they claimed the brackets to the semi finals. Team Q was on a new page of focuse in the Semi-Game that followed to the beginning of the Champs game. Team Q was up one touchdown already when they made a quick pic 6 and extended the lead. Before the 10 min mark of the first half it was a 3 score game and for one second Team Q let down their guard. Suddenly Looking to Score was within 3 points. The back and forth started to become more difficult and more intense. When the game seemed to be coming down to the last possession and Team Q on the wrong end of the clock the team turned the focuse back up!! 4 quick and greatly athletic plays later Team Q forced a turnover and a score. They knew what their opponents were capable of and Team Q shaved the clock defensively with fans pulls. Looking to Score made it down the field and scored but with a 9 point lead they couldn't catch up. Great game teams and congrats Team Q

Going in as a slight underdog in this championship game, 3wo5men thoroughly dominated Face Down Ass Up. The only time they were behind in the game was an 8-6 deficit. After their next score the defense came up with a key stop and they never looked back. After halftime, in a two point game, the defense turned it up a notch. On a third and gender, their rusher tipped the pass to himself and intercepted it. After that play the offense took control and Face Down didn't have an answer for their passing attack. 3wo5men ended up winning by 24 points. Everyone on the team played well, but Roger Cave brought his A game throwing 8 touchdowns.

This championship game featured two very evenly matched teams and came down to the very last play to decide the winner. After a dominant regular season, Go Balls Deep cruised into the final and came up against the very tough number two seed, Yeah.... Yeah... gave the number one seed all they could handle in this one, trading scores and stops when they needed to. After giving up a late TD, Go Balls Deep marched down the field scoring with 15 second left. Yeah... was not going away quietly however, throwing a pass halfway down the field to give themselves a legitimate chance to throw one last pass to the end zone in an attempt to tie the game. Unfortunately for Yeah..., Go Balls Deep safety stepped in front of the pass, intercepted it and returned it all the way for a TD as time expired.

Wednesdays at Hale tended to be a little damp this season, but the weather couldn't put out the winning spirit of Handegg Catchers. Playing in a steady rain for their fist match of the night Handegg managed to march down the field to gain a late lead in what had been a back and forth match all game long, and then hold out defensively for the victory. In the Championship game both teams started slow, with the first score coming with 4min left in the first half. In the second half, the women on Handegg Catchers took over, catching everything thrown their way, scoring three more touchdowns and an extra point, opening up a two score lead late in the game and holding on to victory. Congratulations, Handegg Catchers, on a season well won.

The West Canaan Coyotes dominated the championship game to clinch the title that has eluded them for many seasons. Going up against an Illegal Touching team that had won a hard fought semi-final game against Victorious Secret, winning in the final moments of the game, seemed like a tough task, but West Canaan was too much to handle on both sides of the ball. The first half was a defensive battle, both teams had promising drives stall out resulting in a punt and a turnover on downs. West Canaan got a score in just before half time that set the tone for the second half. At the start of the second half WC took the ball right down the field and scored on back to back possessions to put the game out of reach. Though the defense stood out, much of the credit has to go to their QB Dan Barr for his great play calling and gutsy performance after injuring his finger on his throwing hand late in the first half. In the end the game finished in a much deserved Championship for the West Canaan Coyotes!!!

Coming off a down to the wire one point victory in game one, you might expect a team to be a little drained for the start of their next game, but not Industrious Crew. Crew exploded to an early 22-12 lead before halftime and looked to clinch the championship. Beermaster had other ideas, battling back to tie the game late. Industrious Crew managed to get points on the board and a 4pt lead and then deny Beermaster's Hail Mary with 40s left on the clock to secure a championship win. Congratulations Industrious Crew, neigher rain, cold, or close games could damp out your winning spirit.

Tensions run high in the playoffs and skills are matched. Every play counts and every mistake becomes a big opportunity. When all hope seemed lost Bloodbath lived up to their rep as one of the greatest. With 30 seconds left Bloodbath was down 4 points. When the first pass missed hope dwindled in their eyes. Then from the numbers a great pass was made and bloodbath had movement and a first down. With only one time out they hurried back to the ball and with a valiant effort missed gender pass. 4 seconds remained with the clock stopped for the incomplete pass. They were facing a second down two open with a long ways to the end zone. With some quick strategy DJ ran the ball fast and hard for 3 seconds moving the ball to half way, burning their last time out and only 1 second on the clock this was it. Bloodbath and Tripple Ecks filled the endzone as the Hail Mary pass was released. From a cloud of blue shirts one red emerged from the grouping. Ryan leaped above the defense and bulled down the ball two feet in the endzone. In epic movie fashion cheers exploded as the refs signaled the TD and sealed Bloodbaths Victory. All that was missing was intense theme music. Amazing game team. Congratulations CeEd Juanita Champs....BLOODBATH!!

What a great team effort by it Ertz to take the victory. With Ryan at QB completing 5TD passes it was hard to stop them as they took a 2Td lead over Team Jonathan. Leading the offense was made easy for Ryan with Travis "T Fox" making two quick TD catches and Joe E "ED" making a long bomb happen. "Ed" also stood out putting strong pressure on team Jonathan's QB and making a strong sac for a safety. Great job Erks congratulations sn the big W!!

What a season we have had with the Juanita Men's League. A mixture of experience, talente, and great game awareness, made this championship roller coaster one for the ages. Four of the best men's flag football teams in the area faced off in epic games all coming down to every play counting. Every pass dropped, every missed conversion, and every second used made an impact. No team could come out victoriouse without playing perfect football, and that's exactly what Feed the Hawks did. They made big plays happen on 4th downs. They made key conversions when others didn't that made the lead untouchable later in the game. They capitalized on their appoints weaknesses, their strengths and missed opportunities. Even when the game came down to the wire they remained composed and sealed their victory with 3 min left with a conversion making the lead exceed a one score game. From then on they eat at the clock and Feed the Hawks got their fill and the W. Congratulations Juanita Men's Leage Champs..... Feed The Hawks!!

Boolin has some great talent on their team! They showed great athleticism but had trouble figuring out the style of play. In the first match up Boolin lost to Game Face but not this time. Boolin made the first Game Face drive end with a punt. Things looked up as they took the ball down field but the tables leveled back out when Game Face made a goal line INT. The game went back and forth, score for score, until finally Boolin had a chance to finish off the half with a two score lead but again on the goal line Bobby made a great grab at the ball. Boolin chased him down and with a valiant effort Game Face was stopped and Boolin went into the half up 3. From then on it was all Boolin. They stopped all of Game Faces advances and sealed the deal while up 9 by making a goal line INT of their own. What an exciting game, great season everyone!

When hard-earned Victory was finally at hand, Crosswired reigned supreme.
To do or not to do…. No one wants to hear, “We tried.” Playing down one person, scoring with pants around your knees and using good clock management. Effort and dedication were rewarded Sunday making the 'magic' that was with Crosswired.
Congratulations Crosswired!
What was expected to be a close, competitive game turned out to be a dominating performance by Team Sweet. Team Sweet seemed to have an answer for everything that Malicious threw at them, eventually winning by 25 points. Though everyone on the team played a great game, Tamara Snyder seemed to be apart of the majority of Sweet's big plays. She caught everything thrown her way and had one of the biggest yards after the catch totals I have seen in Underdog. To top off her great day receiving she also threw a touchdown pass on a fourth and goal that opened the floodgates.

This championship game featured two teams brimming with confidence after dominating performances in the regular season and the playoffs, both winning easily in their semifinal. In a close match-up The Warriors defense made a key defensive stand towards the end of the game to pull off a 4 point victory over the top seeded No Ragrets. The key to The Warriors solid defense was the relentless pass rush of Antoine McDaniel. Though he only had one sack on the day, his pressure on the quarterback was evident for the entire game causing multiple errant throws.

The "Majestic Gazelles" are our top co-ed team this season for Wednesday nights after sweeping the league to finish 7-0! Their outstanding regular-season play even got them a bye straight to the championship while awaiting the winner of #2 "Salute Your Shorts" and #3 "Passaholics".
Much like the first matchup of the season "Salute Your Shorts" defeated "Passaholics" behind their great defense and earned a spot in the championship.
In the championship the "Majestic Gazelles" were just a tab bit better than their counterpart eeking out a 22-6 win, showing that their defense was even better! What's more impressive is that they were able to do it with a couple of their players banged up.
Congratulations to the "Majestic Gazelles" on their undefeated championship run!
"Pimp My Side" was dominant in our Men's flag football division all season. Led by captain Rashad, "Pimp My Side" was the only team to finish with a positive point differential and they finished the league with a 7-0 record.
In the championship game they faced off against "Sand Dabbin" who was pretty competitive in their recent matchup against our eventual champs. On this night, however, "Pimp My Side" brought their 'A' game and could not be stopped. They scored touchdown after touchdown while "Sand Dabbin' could only score once.
Congratulations to "Pimp My Side" for an utterly dominant season!
The "Dark Stars" are our Monday Co-ed Flag Football champions after a tight championship game that was a bitter fight to the end. The game featured "Back That Pass Up," our top team with a 4-1-1 record and the "Dark Stars" who were 4-2. The teams split their regular season games going 1-1 versus each other.
The championship game was a back and forth affair and at the half the "Dark Stars" held a 20-14 lead.
In the second half "Back That Pass Up" tied the game at 20 with about 10 minutes left. The "Dark Stars" then scored on back-to-back series including a nice touch pass by Roger to his teammate who got one foot in at the back of the end zone to give her team a 32-20 lead.
With time running out "Back That Pass Up" was able to score with 12 seconds left in the game to make it a 32-26 game. But, it was too little too late as "Dark Stars" made the one positive play they needed to run out the clock with "Back That Pass Up" out of timeouts.
Congratulations to the "Dark Stars" for winning our first Flag Football championship of the year!
Only three days after Rain Bowl, in which many members of Cuddle Closet made it all the way to the championship, they found themselves in exactly the same position. One game away from being crowned champions, they were not going to let it slip through the crack this time!
Cuddle Closet took on Egg Salad Sandwiches in an epic shoot out that went down to the very last second. In a game that saw very few stops both teams relied on their explosive offense. Both quarterbacks easily threw for more than 500 yards, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but probably not.
Egg Salad Sandwiches mounted a final offensive drive that saw a 4th down conversion of 20 yards, a touchdown with 18 seconds left, and a 2 point conversion that gave them a 1 point lead. All that though proved not enough against Cuddle Closet.
After losing in the Rain Bowl championship by a mere 2 points, they were not going to be denied this victory.
There were 4 seconds left when Dante called hike and threw a 25 yard strike to the endzone. The ball was knocked around by multiple players until it finally came to rest on a fallen players leg. Chris F. for Cuddle Closet saved it from rolling to the ground and by doing so won the game for his team!
Congratulations to the entire Cuddle Closet team for pulling out the win and taking home the championship!
Payback was on the minds of the men and women of team Danger Zone as they took the field against Roustabouts for the Midcore championship at Lewis & Clark on Sunday. A heartbreaking 65-64 early regular season loss back in November kept them focused and motivated throughout the playoffs...the brackets had them on a collision course potential rematch in the title game. The offenses for both teams were firing on all cylinders throughout the playoffs, leading to a championship game the fans and media had been hoping for throughout the season.
Both quarterbacks were on point all game long, with Chris of Danger Zone finding Jenna on many crucial plays in the 2nd half. Roustabouts did their best to close the gap towards the end of the game, but some timely defensive stops and a dialed-in offensive juggernaut proved too much in the end, resulting in an impressive 58-44 victory and fitting end to the season for team Danger Zone.
The championship game on Sunday featured two teams ready to raise the Lombardi wristbands after a hard fought regular season. While Snatches & Jerks had a relatively easy time in their semi-final game against newcomers Hot Pocket, Safety Blitzed eked out a grueling 34-28 victory against Swear to drunk I'm not god on the other side of the bracket.
Both teams were methodical in their offensive play calling in the first half, not wanting to reveal too much of their playbook too early in the game. A clean and quick first 20 minutes had Safety Blitzed up 14-6...this game was living up to the hype with both teams confident in their play and chances of winning the title entering the 2nd half.
Quarterback Lynne took the bull by the horns on their first drive, sidearm slingin' her team down the field for an impressive drive and comfortable 21-6 lead. With defensive stopper Bobi absent for the day but still on their mind, the Safety Blitzed defense went into shutdown mode, holding off Snatches & Jerks for the rest of the game and eventual 28-14 victory.
Congrats to Safety Blitzed...a well-deserved championship for a team who knows how to get it done on the turf at Lewis & Clark.
Anytime Patrick and the Face Down crew join a league; opponents shudder. The veteran-laden squad has racked up countless wins and championships on their way to the Underdog Hall of Fame. This season was no different.
Behind the strong arm of quarterback Cody Nelson, Face Down launches an offensive assault every time they step on the field. Blessed with an incredible stable of receivers, the offense seems to never miss a beat. Cold, rain or any kind bad weather can't slow them down.
After another perfect season and another championship, we tip our cap to one of the greatest teams in Underdog history! Congrats to the champions!!
Despite a perfect 6-0 record entering the playoffs, KTOWN was slotted as the second seed as there was one other team with an unblemished record, DeSmet's Disciples. Throughout the playoffs it seemed inevitable, these two powerhouses would have to clash, and they did. In the championship game.
The first half of the title bout was about as close as you could get, with KTOWN clinging to a two-point lead. Down the stretch with the title in their sights is when Blake and his crew pulled away. Connecting on four second-half touchdowns, the offense built a lead that could not be overcome. What a game! What a season!!
Congrats go out to KTOWN for pulling off the dream season. Here's to the champions!!
After a nearly flawless regular season, where they finished 7-0-1, Bedrooms and More were heavy favorites to take down the title, and they did not disappoint.
As the top seed in the playoffs, the squad cruised through the semi-finals. They found themselves in position for redemption as in the championship game they would face off with Melon Farmers, who gave them the only blemish on their record. After a back-and-forth first half, Bedrooms and More took control late as they got their revenge and secured the championship. Congrats to the champions!!
Throughout a rainy and cold regular season, Taco Corp! fought through the elements to earn the top seed in the playoffs. They did not waste their lofty rank either.
Showing their determination to finish what they started, Taco Corp made quick work of their opponents this postseason. Winning both of their playoff games by multiple scores, the squad was able to celebrate a much-deserved title. Congrats to Taco Corp!, Underdog Champions!!
Go Balls Deep had a dominating regular season as they earned the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. Despite their lofty seeding, the postseason would be no cake walk.
In the semi-finals, the squad needed a last-second miracle touchdown to advance to the title game. Then in the championship game, they had to fight tooth and nail with Back That Pass Up to pull off the victory.
Congrats to Go Balls Deep for an impressive run this regular and post season!
An undefeated season, coveted championship wristbands, bragging rights for years to come...much was on the line on Sunday for the team in Purple. Standing in their path to Underdog legend status was Cromartie's Kids, a talented veteran team whose team lineage has been brought into question by many who have witnessed them on the field at Lewis & Clark. Two solid teams deserving of a chance to claim the title of the Gentlemens division.
This game with a chess match from the beginning, with both teams knowing each other's tendencies after playing two hard fought games in the regular season. Methodical in their approach knowing points would be at a premium, both teams put together impressive drives in the first half, with a deadlocked 13-13 score at halftime.
SundayFunday's defense took charge midway through the 2nd half, picking off a pass as Cromartie's Kids were attempting to tie the game. A few plays later put SundayFunday up by a couple of scores, putting the game out of reach and leading to an eventual 32-19 championship game victory. Congrats to team SundayFunday for a fantastic ending to a perfect season!
