Hard to find a more competitive championship game than the one on Field 3 at Lower Woodlands on Thursday. After OMG we’re rollin balls scored a run to tie it up in the top of the 7th, we went to the bottom of the inning knotted up at 4. Kicken McThuggets immediately put runners at the corners with nobody out. With the winning run on third, Amy stepped up to the plate with a chance to be the hero. She sent a hard grounder to the infield and the winning run came into score. Amy delivered in the clutch and Kicken McThuggets won the championship in dramatic walk-off fashion. What a game!

Sit On my Base put on the finishing touches to an unbeaten season Wednesday night at Lower Woodlands. In the semifinal, it was a perfect display of great defense to go along with some big time kicks. They turned a triple play to end the game and carried that momentum into the championship game. In the bottom of the 1st, the unthinkable happened: a triple play in back-to-back innings. That set the tone for another well played game with fundamental defense and some clutch kicks deep into the outfield. Congrats to the Champs!

Last night we wrapped up our spring Wednesday night kickball league, and we had a great night of playoffs to cap things off.
Pandemic at the Disco came in as our #1 seed, with a 6-2 record and matched up against the #4 Huge Sports People. In an epic finish, Pandemic railed from one run down in the final inning, with a two out, walk off double to score the winning two runs, finishing with a 4-3 victory.
Our other semi-final featured The Bad Mama Jammas (#3 seed) vs Chuggers and Sluggers (#2). This wasn't close, with the Bad Mama Jammas cruising to an 11-4 win.
The championship showdown was set. Just a few weeks ago, The Bad Mama Jammas squeaked out a one run victory over Pandemic, handing them one of their two losses. Last night would be equally intense, featuring highlight reel defense to keep it close. In the end, Pandemic at the Disco was just too strong defensively for the Mama Jamas to come back in time and they won 3-2.
Congrats to Pandemic at the Disco on finishing as Champs!
Last night 100% That Pitch came into the playoffs with a 5-2-1 record, which was good enough to be the #1 seed in our downtown division. After starting the season off with a loss, they rallied to go undefeated for the next five weeks before their next loss against Pandemkick. Last night, they had a chance to redeem themselves, and battled hard to an 11-10 victor to move into the championship against the #3 seed, Sit on my Base.
Sit on my Base came into the championship equally weary, having escaped with a 8-7 victory over the #2 Ain't That a Kick in the Head. They must have left it all on the field, because they 100% didn't have enough to win, losing big and giving 100% That Pitch the title.
Congrats on a great season!
On Sunday night, Big Kick Energy blasted their way to an undefeated 10-0 season. After finishing the regular season 8-0, they got a free pass to the finals when their semi-final opponent SAS forfeited last minute (it was Mother's Day!).
That setup a matchup against Pitch Please, who BKE had beaten handily a few weeks earlier. This time, it started off as a close game with both teams coming out of the gate kicking... the score was 3-1 after the first inning with BKE in the lead. There was great fielding by both teams with some long throws from 3rd to 1st to secure some tough outs. BKE wrapped up their unblemished season with a win after scoring 3 runs during the 4th inning where Pitch Please dug themselves a hole they couldn’t escape from.
Congrats to Big Kick Energy on a fantastic season!
Los Kickers faced off against "Kicking and Screaming" on Tuesday night to wrap up our Tuesday night kickball season. Earlier in the season, Los Kickers lost 3-0 against K&S, but this time, they wanted revenge. In a defensive battle, Los Kickers managed to shutout Kicking and Screaming and push across the only run they'd need, winning 1-0 to win the championship.
Congrats Los Kickers!
Smokeshow BBQ closes out the championship in a nail biter of a game. Sir Kix a Lot took an early 2-0 lead. Smokeshow BBQ battled back to tie the score. Both teams held in close up until the bottom of the 7th where the home field advantage took effect. Smokeshow BBQ scored their last run to seal the deal.
