It was the playoffs for Thursday Pickleballl last night and everyone was excited to see who would win it all! “Backhand Bandits” and “Team D” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to walk away as the champions of Thursday Beginner II Pickleball! “Backhand Bandits” came out looking like they were playing in the US Open and dominated the first game, taking an early lead in the championship. It looked like nothing could stop “Backhand Bandits” from being crowned the champions but “Team D” was not going down without a fight. “Team D” changed up their game plan and was able to win the second match with amazing returns and great teamwork, forcing a third and final match! “Backhand Bandits” started the third game on fire and had the lead for a good portion of the game, but “Team D” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own and took the lead late in the final match.“Backhand Bandits” was able to find a groove late in the third game and won the match and became the champions of Thursday Beginner II Pickleball!

After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Godfathers III” and “Team X” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Godfathers III” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and took an early 1-0 lead in the championship. It looked like “Godfathers III” were going to be crowned the champions after the second match but “Team X” had other ideas for game two. “Team X” changed up their game plan and was able to keep the match competitive all the way until the end with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the last few points of the game. “Godfathers III” found a groove late in the second match with some impressive serves and rallies. They ended up winning the second game and became the champions of Thursday Intermediate Pickleball!

After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Cucumberball” and “Slam Dink” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Cucumberball” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game of the match and took an early 1-0 lead in the championship after winning 11-4. Last night we wrapped up our Monday night pickleball league at the Elks Lodge. A week ago, our #1 seed, the Washed Pickles, defeated the 8 seeded Pickle Me Dink 2-1, moving on to the semi-finals last night.
In the semi-finals, they faced off against the #5 "Hit It", and won 2-0, continuing their undefeated season.
The other semi-final featured Grl Pwr vs Bread and Butter, with Grl Pwr emerging victorious.
The final matchup was a good one, with both teams winning a game and forcing a deciding game three for all the pickles. Washed Pickles storybook season continued, with them vanquishing GRL PWR and winning the Beginner Champion belt. Congrats Washed Pickles on cleaning up all season long!
Last night we finished round two of our Monday pickleball playoffs. Four teams entered the playoffs vying for the title. Unfortunately, the #1 seed had to forfeit last week, bowing out of the bracket with the loss. This left an opening for the #4 seeded Not My Fault to vault themselves into the championship round.
The other semi-final matchup featured our #2 team, Dink Responsibly against the #3 Wet Bandits. Dink Responsibly moved on with a convincing win, setting up a show down against Not My Fault.
Now Dink Responsibly entered the playoffs with a 4-2 record, and Not My Fault had a 1-5 record. Dink Responsibly's only losses were to the #1 seed, Super Smash Bros. With them out of the way, Dink Responsibly had only one thing on their mind (probably, we're guessing here), and that was a title!
They dispatched Not My Fault, winning the championship for our intermediate division. Congrats Dink Responsibly on a great season!

It looked like “J Crew’” were going to be crowned the champions after the second game but “Just Two Dudes” had other ideas for game two. “Just Two Dudes” changed up their game plan and were able to win the second game with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the third and final match. “J Crew’” took an early lead in the third game with some incredible serves, but “Just Two Dudes” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “J Crew’” was able to find a groove late in the third game and won the match and became the champions of Thursday Pickleball!

"Fiscal Fury" has emerged as the Wednesday Pickleball Champions for the Spring '24 Season, clinching the title with a 2-0 victory over "OMG!"
In the first game, "Fiscal Fury" set the tone early, racing ahead to an 11-2 victory with a combination of sharp shots and strategic plays. They took control from the start and didn't give "OMG!" much of a chance to recover.
Game two saw "OMG!" determined to mount a comeback. They managed to keep the score even at 2-2, but "Fiscal Fury" soon found their rhythm and surged ahead to a 9-5 lead. Despite a spirited effort by "OMG!" to close the gap, "Fiscal Fury" held on and finished the game with an 11-8 win, securing the championship.

After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Los Pepinos” and “Undrafted” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament, and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Los Pepinos” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game of the match and took an early 1-0 lead in the championship. Underdog winter softcore pickleball champions are the Pancake Paddlers! They stayed consistent throughout the semifinals and into the finals and consistency sure is key! They had their head in the game and stayed positive the whole time which we love to see.

Underdogs softcore 2 championship goes to The Pickle Persons Paddle People! They pushed through the semi finals and kept momentum in the championship game. Not letting up and playing with their all, they secured the final game at 6-3. Not only did they play great, the team spirit is unmatched and they kept everybody having a great time.

Underdogs softcore pickleball champions are Careful I’m Picklish! This championship game was one heck of a close one. Perseverance is key and this team proved that today. The first set slipped through their fingers but they held their chins up and put their head back in the game, snagging set two and three for the Win. They played great and had an amazing time doing it. Way to go!

The silly catchers are our new CHAMPS! All season the Dilly Catchers showed that they were a force to be reckon with. Each pair is strong and competitive but also so fun to watch. In the championship they showed that having fun and letting loose makes a difference! They had amazing swings and had enjoyed themselves playing the game they love!

It was the playoffs for Tuesday Pickleballl last night and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Serving Lewks” and “Really Big Dills” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Serving Lewks” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game of the match and they never looked back from there. “Really Big Dills” played their hearts out but “Serving Lewks” were just too hot to handle. “Serving Lewks” dominated the whole match and won the championship 2-0 with their amazing teamwork and impressive pickleball skills!

It looked like nothing could stop “Los Pepinos” from being crowned the champions but “Undrafted” was not going down without a fight. “Undrafted” changed up their game plan and were able to win the second game with their amazing teamwork! Last night we wrapped up our Monday night pickleball league with some epic matches. The pop pop pop of the pickleballs came fast and furious with some great rallies and fun games.
Our beginner bracket started last week, and featured nine teams competing for the crown. Coming into last night, "Too Many Cooks", "Team D", "GRL PWR", and "Everything But The Kitchen Dink" were left ready to battle in our semi-finals. Team D skated through the semis with a forfeit win after learning that "Too Many Cooks" couldn't make it. Meanwhile, EBTKD had to earn their spot in the finals with a 3-0 victory. Perhaps that served as a good warmup, because they beat Team D in the finals 3-0 as well, earning their first Pickleball title!

In our Intermediate bracket, we had 6 teams competing for the title. After a competitive season, two teams stood above the rest. Dink Responsibly came into the playoffs with a perfect 6-0 record. Cooking in the Kitchen entered with a 5-1 record, with their lone loss coming at the hands of Dink Responsibly.
In the playoffs, both teams made it through the quarterfinals on January 8th. Last night, in the semi finals, Dink Responsibly dispatched "Not My Fault" 3-0 to move into the final round. At the same time, "Cooking in the Kitchen" was facing off against Super Smash Bros. in their own sem-final match. After winning 3-0, Cooking in the Kitchen had a chance for redemption. In an epic, back and forth, showdown, Cooking in the Kitchen came out victorious, winning the deciding third game for a 2-1 victory and the Intermediate division title.
Congrats to Cooking in the Kitchen on their title, and all our other intermediate teams for a great season!
