One of the coldest nights yet, but a great final to end a great season. Attack Pack went up 1-0 somewhat early on, but KC & Friends stayed consistent and eventually got one, and then two to seal the comeback. it ended 2-1 for Purple, and both teaam
were passionate anout the game, perhaps too much so at times but the ref kept everything handled.
The "Shin-guardians of the Galaxy FC" are our Friday soccer champions! They were a top contender all season, even go so far as to lock up the league 1 week before the official end to the season.
Their 7-0-1 record puts then atop the table with 15 points. In second were "911"with 13 points. The "Shin-guardians of the Galaxy FC" also topped the league with a +25 point differential. Once again "911" finished 2nd in that category with a +19.
It was a pretty strong season from start to finish for our champs, as you'd imagine based on their record. They got off to a quick 3-0 record, defeating those three opponents by a combined 13-2 score. They followed that great run with a 1-1 draw with the "A Team", in what was a disappointing result.
Our champs bounced back quite well though, picking up a 7-3 win, followed by a 5-0 win to get back atop the standings. They then fought off the eventual 3rd place squad "Team B" in a tightly contested 1-0 battle. They'd then go on to round out the season by cruising to a 6-2 win over a #Hawaii2020" squad that was in the top half of the table all season.
Congratulations to the "Shin-guardians of the Galaxy FC" for a nearly flawless season. They were strong from start to finish, and as a result have earned the title as our league champions!
It was their first season, but Look Ma, No Hands FC came in and were absolutely dominate. They went unbeaten in the regular season and won the final 3-0 over Popped a Volley I'm Sweatin' to take the title. Congrats to Kelly and the squad on your first trophy, and....*Roscoe Dash voice* we love the way that footy goes!

It was the 3rd Wednesday Open season in a row with a Net Six and Chill vs Smoke Ringers final, and Net Six and Chill came out on top last night winning 3-1. That makes it their 5th trophy in 8 seasons, and it’s safe to say we have a little bit of a rivalry going between these two teams. Congrats to Anh and his squad, and good luck going for 2 in a row next season!

Congrats (again) to Brewnited, as they win their 2nd Monday championship in a row, their 3rd Monday championship overall, and their EIGHTH trophy across all SOPFC leagues. "Republic's Finest" is our Thursday soccer champion, defeating "Plan B" in a thrilling 2-1 victory. The win marks a tremendous win over the perennial contender.
Throughout the season "Republic's Finest" was a bit inconsistent, but they put it all together for the playoffs. In their first playoff game they took on "Squad F.C", cruising to a 5-2 win. In the regular season each team beat the other once, though "Republic's Finest" had the latest win, a 2-0 victory just last week. No doubt carrying over what they learned in that game to their first round match up.
In the championship they took on "Plan B", the clear favorite to win it all at the start of the season. "Republic's Finest" took a huge 5-0 loss to them early in the season, but this time it was different. Hot off their 1st round win, "Republic's Finest" picked up it on the defensive end and help them just one goal. In fact, it was the first time all season "Plan B" was held to under 3 goals and only the second time they allowed 2 goals. Any way you put it, it was an incredible win.
Overall they finish with a 7-3 record along with a +11 point differential.
Congratulations to "Republic's Finest" on the amazing season!
It was a cold night, but Faction Matador claimed their third Over 40 title by beating reigning champs Geri-Hat Trick 6-3! It’s their first since February 2019, and they end the season leading the league in goals scored. New season starts next week - can they make it 2 in a row?

The "A Team" is our Friday Coed champion, defeating "911" by the score of 5-2. It was an incredibly impressive win for our champions, taking out a previously undefeated squad. In fact, they had just lost to this team by the score of 6-5 just a week ago. So to turn it around so quickly and win in the championship by 3 goals is a testament to how great this team is.
Overall "A Team" finishes their season with a 9-1 record, their lone loss coming in that final week of the regular season. Other than that they were pretty much flawless.
Thanks to the championship game win, they finish the league with a +29 point differential, good for first. Their championship opponent finished second in the category with a +27. Both were head and shoulders above everyone else in the league.
Offense was a main benefactor in that differential for the "A Team" all season, often putting the game out of reach. In 8 of their 10 games this season they scored at least 5 goals. In those other 2 games, they still managed 3 goals.
Congratulations to the "A Team" on a well-deserved championship!
"Molly-Whop FC" is our Men's league champion, defeating a formidable "Team Iceland" in convincing fashion.
The 4-1 win was extremely impressive considering they had lost to the #1 seed twice already this season by a combined score of 10-4. That didn't matter much to these champions though, saving their best for last and taking the division title!
It was a fantastic campaign overall for our champs, highlighted by their 4-1 championship win. But wins came easy for this club all season, to the tune of a 6-2-1 overall record.
Aside from their two losses to "Team Iceland" they racked up a combined +19 point differential against their other opponents, winning 5 total games over "Team Z" and "Old Man United".
In all "Molly-Whop FC" finishes with a 6-2-1 record, along with a +15 point differential.
Congratulations to "Molly-Whop FC" on the title!
"United" is our Tuesday night champion, defeating "Plan B" by the score of 2-1. The win comes after a 3-1 semifinals win over the "Tinky Winkies".
Defense was the key all season for "United". That includes the playoffs, where they held both opponents to just a goal in each of their wins.
Through the regular season they allowed just 4 goals in 8 games, eventually contributing to an overall of 6 goals allowed in 10 games. That all led up to a total of 5 clean sheets through the regular season. They'd also only allow more than a goal in a game once, and that was in a 4-2 win over the "Sac allstars". Incredible!
Overall our champs finish with an unbeaten 7-0-3 record, staving off "Plan B" for the best in the league thanks to the title win. And while their +11 point differential was 2nd to their championship game opponent, how they got there through their nearly perfect defense was more impressive!
Congratulations to "United" on the incredible season!
The "Benchwarmers" are back on top as the Division 1 champions, defeating rival "Team Iceland" 5-3 in a great game. Both teams were able to put the ball in the back of the net, but the 5 goal outing was more than enough for this outstanding defensive squad.
In fact, the 3 goals allowed in Sunday's game was only the second time that has happened all season. The first time it happened was in the first game of the season, where the "Benchwarmers" defeated "The Pick Me Ups" by the score of 4-3. After that win our champs were absolutely incredible, allowing just 4 goals in 7 games prior to the championship. That run included 4 different clean sheets, one of which was a 4-0 win over "Team Iceland".
Overall the "Benchwarmers" finish with a 7-0-2 record along with a league high +23 goal differential. They were far and above the best team this season, as displayed by their point differential.
Congratulations the the "Benchwarmers" for taking the Division 1 title!
"The Crew FC" are our Division 2 champions, knocking off "Black Pearl FC" 5-3 in the championship. From the start it seemed the two were destined to meet at the end of the season.
It was certainly an impressive win in more ways than one, considering "The Crew FC" had a game prior to the championship. As the #2 seed they took on #3 "Hangover 916", cruising to a 4-1 victory and sealing their spot in the division final.
In 2 previous meetings with "Black Pearl FC" "The Crew FC" had come away with a 5-2 loss and a 5-5 tie. So it was only fitting that they even the series in the best of ways, by defeating them for the championship and coming away with a 5-3 win.
With the win our champs finish with a 7-2-1 record, including a +14 goal differential, tied for first with their championship game opponent.
Congratulations to "The Crew FC" on the impressive championship run!
The "Golden Raccoons" are our Division 3 champion, making their way from the #3 playoff spot all the way to the title. In their first round matchup they took on the "Futbolitos", defeating them 3-2. Earlier in the season our champs had defeated the "Futbolitos" 4-2, so no doubt the "Golden Raccoons" were confident heading into the game.
The championship game was a different story though, as "Phoenix FC" had defeated them 5-3 in a previous bout a few weeks earlier.
This time, coming in hot off a win, the "Golden Raccoons" upped their defense and held the #1 seed to just a goal. In fact, their defense had become a strength late in the season and is ultimately what led them to the division title.
Congratulations to the "Golden Raccoons" on a fantastic 7-3 season!
